NNA - Minister of Economy and Trade Amin Salam held bilateral talks in Geneva on Tuesday, November 30th, with the Swiss Minister of State for International Financial Affairs, Daniela Stoffel, with the participation of Lebanon's Ambassador to Switzerland, Rola Noureddine, and representatives of the Swiss Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Economy. During the meeting, the Minister discussed the Lebanese government’s efforts to implement economic reforms, particularly with regards to preparing for negotiations with the International Monetary Fund. The Swiss reaffirmed their support for Lebanon and its people in overcoming the difficulties being faced, and stressed the need to benefit from the agreements concluded between the two countries, especially in the field of supporting investments, exchanging financial information and promoting free trade.

Minister Salam also met with the Director General of the Geneva Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Vincent Subilia, in the context of stimulating links between Swiss and Lebanese companies.
