Parliamentary Committees’ Schedule:

10:00 am         Sub-committee session stemming from the Administration and Justice Committee, tasked with examining the Media Law proposal, presided over by MP George Okeis. 

11:30 am         Session of the Parliamentary Committee for National Defense, Interior, and Municipalities, chaired by Jihad Sammad, to discuss the topic of stamps, and to follow up on a proposal to settle the status of accredited inspectors in the General Security, as well as a proposal to promote officers with university degrees in the General Directorate of State Security from the 1997 class to the rank of Second Lieutenant, effective January 1, 2015.

10:00 am       Launch of the Lebanese Democratic Women's Gathering's "National Study on Child Marriage in Lebanon" at the Movenpick Hotel. The launch includes a panel discussion with representatives from the Ministries of Justice, Health, Education, Social Affairs, and Media, along with parliamentary, media, and union attendance.

10:30 am      The Ministry of Public Works and Transport, in collaboration with the Port of Beirut Management and Investment, under the patronage and presence of Prime Minister Najib Mikati and with the participation of French Ambassador to Lebanon, Hervé Magro, announces the presentation of the reconstruction and development plan for the Port of Beirut at the Ground Floor Hall - Port of Beirut.

12:00 pm       Caretaker Minister of Justice, Judge Henri Khoury, receives a delegation from the Human Rights Watch in his office at the ministry, as part of the ongoing monitoring of the issue of "International Accountability for War Crimes Committed in Lebanon since October 8, 2023."

1:00 pm         Caretaker Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Abbas El-Hajj Hassan, receives a delegation from the Environmental Movement to discuss Israeli attacks on Lebanese forest resources, the mechanism for dealing with internationally banned white phosphorus shells, and the reckless deforestation operations in many Lebanese regions at his office in the ministry in Bir Hassan.

2:30 pm         Launch of the Rene Moawad Foundation's "Export" sustainable agricultural development project to enhance opportunities and exports - funded by the Kingdom of the Netherlands, at the Sofitel Le Gabriel Hotel - Ashrafieh.

3:00 pm        The Christian Association of Young Women in Beirut celebrates "International Women's Day" under the theme: "Your Role is Essential in Climate Change," under the patronage of the Caretaker Minister of Environment, Dr. Nasser Yassin, at the Cultural Center of the Association - Rustom Basha Street - Ain El Mreisseh.

8:00 pm        Hezbollah Secretary-General, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, speaks on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan.
