NNA - Caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, on Wednesday chaired a meeting at the Grand Serail, attended by Caretaker Tele-Communication Minister Johnny Corm, the World Bank’s Regional Director for the Middle East, Jean-Christophe Carré, the Director General of OGERO, Imad Kreidieh, and PM Mikati’s Advisor Samir Al-Daher.

 On emerging, Caretaker Minister Corm said: “Today, we convened with representatives from the World Bank, and it was conveyed that the bank is inclined to allocate aid or loans intended for Lebanon towards productive endeavors rather than consumptive ones. It has a budget of approximately $250 million that will be allocated to projects within the energy, water, and telecommunications sectors."

Caretaker Prime Minister Mikati also met at the Grand Serail with Caretaker Minister of Information, Ziad Makary, with discussions reportedly touching on Ministry affairs. 

Mikati later received MP Ahmed Al-Khair, and then MPs Mohammed Suleiman and Abdel Aziz Al-Samad. 

Mikati also welcomed at the Grand Serail the Board Chairman and the General Director of Casino du Liban, Roland Khoury, accompanied by Board members.
