NNA - MP Tony Franjieh considered that "it will not be possible to extricate the country from its successive crises except by proceeding quickly with the election of a new president for the republic who would restore order to constitutional life and prestige to the security services, so that citizens can feel safe and reassured."

"We adhere today more than ever to the nomination of the head of the Marada Movement, Sleiman Franjieh, and we affirm that we will continue our battle until the end without any surrender," the MP underlined. 

His words came during a meeting with the lawyers of the "Marada Movement" who are members of the Bar Association in Tripoli, in the presence of its dean, Marie-Therese Al-Qawwal.

"We renew our call on the judiciary to take the necessary measures regarding the Kahaleh incident, and towards other security incidents that the country has witnessed, so as to preserve the truth and block those who wish to divert matters from their right track," Franjieh asserted.

Referring to the elections of the Bar Association in Tripoli, Franjieh affirmed that "Al-Marada's recent experience in the Bar was successful and fruitful through the presence of Dean Al-Qawwal, a dedicated figure who performs her mission to the fullest."
