NNA – Information Minister Ziad Al-Makari visited the French “Clinique Du Levant” Hsopital in Sin El-Fil this afternoon, where he was received by its Board Chairman & Director General, Dr. Antoine Maalouf, and French Deputy of Lebanese origin, MP Elie Abboud, who briefed him on the medical and health functions performed by the hospital amidst the very difficult conditions Lebanon is going through, in cooperation and partnership with the most important medical centers in Europe and the United States of America.

Minister Makari toured the various sections of the hospital accompanied by its administration members, during which he had a closer look at the latest technologies used in medical and surgical operations, and Al-Mashrek’s ‘Aircad” exclusiveness in the Middle East and North Africa for robotic surgery and for teaching doctors to perform operations remotely.

Al-Makari was also briefed him on the role the hospital plays in terms of revitalizing medical tourism, in which Lebanon used to occupy a leading role in the entire Middle East and Africa.
