NNA – Akkar - The "Civil Society Youth of Ancient Akkar" Group organized a candle lighting campaign of the historic “Bani Sifa” Fortress - Akkar el-Atiqa'a, located in the old town of Akkar, where the image of the castle returned to the way it used to be several centuries ago.

Group Director Khodor Zaitoun said: "We launched the first activity of our non-politically affiliated group in the Bani Sifa Fortress, in order to adhere to the heritage and traditions on which our ancestors were raised on…"

He added, "We seek in our group to build a conscious and educated generation, because by doing so we will restore our beloved homeland, Lebanon,” noting that many activities are on the way to be launched in the near future.
