NNA – The Lebanese Army announced Sunday via its Facebook page that marking the "International Day of Peace", the "Justice and Peace" Episcopal Committee has honored Air Force Commander, Brigadier General Pilot Ziad Heikal, in appreciation of the Army's Air Force vital role in fighting fires and preserving the environment.

Brigadier General Heikal, who represented the Army Chief during the Mass service held in Bkirki, received the shield from Maronite Patriarch, Cardinal Bechara Boutros al-Rahi, and thanked the Patriarch for this honor.
