NNA - Prime Minister Nawaf Salam strongly condemned the terrorist suicide bombing that targeted St. Elias Church in the Syrian capital, Damascus, on Sunday, which led to the fall of several innocent victims.

Salam denounced "this despicable criminal act, which targets the Syrian state and people and aims to sow discord and division within the Syrian national fabric."

He affirmed the Lebanese government's full solidarity with Syria in its efforts to preserve its security and stability, expressing "Lebanon's readiness to cooperate and coordinate in everything that would enhance security and confront terrorism."

PM Salam also expressed his confidence in the ability of the Syrian state and its institutions to overcome these hardships and confront any malicious plots that seek to destabilize or undermine Syrian national unity.
