NNA - Head of the Lebanese-French Parliamentary Friendship Committee, MP Simon Abi Ramia, pursued today his Paris tour, where he met with the Secretary-General of the Francophone Parliamentary Assembly, Amelia Lakraffi, who represents the 10th district of the French Diaspora that includes Lebanon, and Bruno Fuchs, head of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the French National Assembly.

Abi Ramia held several meetings at the French Presidency and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during which he addressed the situation in the Middle East, particularly the Iran-Israel war and its repercussions on the region and Lebanon, given the ongoing Israeli occupation and daily Israeli attacks on Lebanese territory.

Talks also touched on the issue of displaced Syrians and the international community's support needed to ensure their return to Syria, in addition to the reforms expected from the Lebanese government and constitutional institutions. French officials emphasized that the upcoming international support conference in Paris cannot be held without the implementation of said reforms.
