NNA – Prime Minister, Dr. Nawaf Salam, on Tuesday welcomed at the Grand Serail, UK Deputy Chief of Defense Staff for Strategy and Military Operations, Air Marshal Harvey Smith, and an accompanying delegation, in the presence of British Ambassador to Lebanon, Hamish Cowell.

The meeting reportedly addressed bilateral relations between Lebanon and the United Kingdom, especially cooperation in the security and military sectors. Discussions also covered the situation in south Lebanon, as well as regional and international developments.

During the meeting, Premier Salam stressed the necessity of full Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territories.
