NNA – House Speaker, Nabih Berri, on Tuesday received at the second presidency headquarters in Ain El-Tineh, the head of Lebanon’s economic bodies and the Head of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Beirut and Mount Lebanon, former Minister Mohammed Choucair, with whom he discussed the country’s general conditions, especially the economic ones.

Speaker Berri later received a delegation from the Audit Bureau, which included: Head of the Bureau, Judge Mohammed Badran, Court of Audit’s Public Prosecutor, Judge Fawzi Khamis, Heads of two chambers, Judges Zainab Hammoud and Nelly Abi Younis, and others.

The delegation handed Speaker Berri the 2003 and 2004 budget closure of accounts, and two special reports.  

Berri also received in Ain El-Tineh, UK Deputy Chief of Defense Staff, Air Marshal Harvey Smith, and an accompanying delegation, in the presence of British Ambassador to Lebanon, Hamish Cowell, and Speaker Berri's Media Advisor, Ali Hamdan.

Discussions reportedly touched on the latest political and field developments in Lebanon and the broad region.
