Nasrallah: Maritime deal great victory to Lebanese state, people, and resistance

NNA - Hezbollah Secretary General, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, on Thursday delivered a speech via Al-Manar TV just a few hours after the signature of a maritime deal between Lebanon and Israel.

Speaking during a ceremony held marking the inauguration of “Ardi” (My Land) exhibition for traditional food at Sayyed Shuhada Complex in Beirut’s southern suburb (Dahiyeh), Nasrallah said, “the formal measures of the maritime deal have been finalized, and the resistance’s mission has been accomplished; all the exceptional measures taken by Hezbollah are now over.”

Nasrallah went on to say that Hezbollah considered the maritime deal a great victory to the Lebanese state, people, and resistance.

“Some in Lebanon were surprised by finalizing the maritime deal; their spite has made them blind!” he added.

Moreover, Nasrallah dismissed claims on normalizing ties between Lebanon and Israel, after the maritime deal, as “baseless and false accusations”.

“The maritime talks were held indirectly; Lebanese and Israeli delegations never met in one room. The Lebanese officials never took any suspicious step that might indirectly imply normalization of ties with the Zionist entity. The maritime deal is a letter — it’s neither an international accord, nor a recognition of the Zionist entity,” Nasrallah explained.

On a different level, the Hezbollah SG announced full readiness to stand by the Lebanese health authorities in Lebanon to counter the Cholera outbreak. He also stressed the importance of boosting local production, calling on Lebanese authorities to shoulder their responsibility in this regard.

On the regional level, Sayyed Nasrallah denounced terrorist attacks on an Iranian shrine in Shiraz, offering condolences to Imam Khamenei and the Iranian nation.

“Those who have been behind riots in Iran are themselves who killed innocent people in Shiraz,” Nasrallah added.

Sayyed Nasrallah also saluted the Palestinian resistance in the West Bank and Gaza. He hailed martyr Udai Tamimi, “Lions’ Den”, and all the other martyrs in Nbalus, Jenin, and Shuafat.

“Developments in Palestine indicate new and promising course of events that will draw new equations,” Nasrallah noted.
