NNA - Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea highlighted the necessity of electing a "proper" president of the republic in order to rescue the country.
"Any rescue plan must begin with a proper president of the republic," Geagea told a party meeting in the Bcharre town of Hadath El Jebbeh.
Addressing the opposition forces, Geagea said: "People did not elect us to deliver statements, but to change their livelihood situation."
"There are certain actions that we must take, especially that we are ahead of the presidential juncture," he added.
"Everybody can see what is happening today in Baabda Palace and the results we have reached; if we want to change these results, we need a president who is the opposite of the current (president)," he said.
