NNA - Prime Minister Najib Mikati has been following up since early morning on the counting process of the votes the Lebanese cast in the 2022 parliamentary elections, in the presence of Interior Minister Bassam Mawlawi and Justice Minister Henri Khoury.

"The government has succeeded in achieving this juncture despite the prevailing sharp political rift and tension," Mikati said.

"All the political forces to be represented in the Parliament must now resume the constitutional steps at the parliamentary and governmental levels in the nearest time possible," he added.

"Our government kept its promise and implemented its ministerial statement," he said, hoping all sides will cooperate in the upcoming stage.
