NNA - The Turkish Embassy in Lebanon has hailed the parliamentary elections that were held across the country on May 15 "in a calm atmosphere."

In a statement, the Embassy hoped that "the polls' results will contribute to social peace, calm and stability in Lebanon."

It also stressed that Turkey will continue to support the Lebanese state and people, as well as Lebanon's sovereignty, unity, stability and security.
