NNA – The Lebanese Women's team (ranked 53rd internationally and 8th in Asia) began its matches in the Asian Women's Basketball Championship (second level) hosted by the Jordanian capital, Amman, until November 13, with a victory over its Iranian counterpart (ranked 80th internationally and 14th continentally) by a difference of 66-64 points, in a match between them this afternoon in the first group held at Prince Hamzah Hall.

With this victory, Lebanon took a giant step towards qualifying for the semi-finals.

The final winning champion will qualify to participate in the Asian Championship (first level) to be held in 2023.

The Lebanese national team aspires to achieve the first rank in the Asian Championship (second level) to regain its natural standing.
