NNA - President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, received a congratulatory telegram from Syrian President, Bashar al-Asad on the occasion of the Resistance and Liberation Day, which is tomorrow 25 May.

“It is my great pleasure to congratulate your Excellency, the Lebanese people and the heroes of the resistance on the occasion of the Resistance and Liberation Day. 

The victory that was achieved 22 years ago will remain an honorable historical milestone because it restored rights and brought down the occupation's conspiracies and expansionist plans, and proved the correctness of the approach and choice of resistance as a natural right of any people that violates the sovereignty of their country  and lands.

The memory of the heroes who illuminated the path to glory with their blood will always be present in our hearts. And they will remain a model in giving and devotion to the nation”.

The President also received a congratulatory cable on the success of the parliamentary elections from the Deputy Emir and Crown Prince of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
