NNA - Caretaker Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. George Kallas, on Tuesday welcomed the new cultural advisor to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Kamil Baqer, who invited Minister Kallas to visit Tehran and meet with his Iranian counterparts and other senior officials.

"The ground is ready for cooperation between the two countries in the fields of youth and sports, based on the previously signed agreements and the need to activate them, and due to their impact on serving youth in Lebanon and Iran,” Baqer said. 

The Iranian advisor also suggested the establishment of a center to nurture young scientific talents in Lebanon, sharing a similar successful experience in Iran, "especially as it contributes to limiting the brain drain."

Minister Kallas also received MP Alain Aoun, with whom he discussed an array of youth, sports, and other general issues.
