NNA - The army Command-General Directorate, on Wednesday announced that the LA intelligence services thwarted two kidnapping attempts, plotted in exchange of ransom.
According to the statement, the army intelligence arrested on 02/23/2013 Moussa Ali Harb, for plotting with others for the abduction of emigrant Ali Sabbah, in exchange of a ransom for his release.
Also according to the statement, the intelligence services foiled on 2/24/2013 another bid to kidnap the child of al-Mir family, owners of a bakery in Tripoli.
This attempt was planned by Syrian, Ziad Abdeen Jamal, in exchange of a one-million-dollar ransom.
The perpetrator was arrested and is being subject to interrogation.
