NNA - Minister of National Defense, Fayez Ghosn, had been Thursday to Yarze for a meeting with Lebanese Army Chief, General Jean Qahwaji, over the current security situation in the country and the condition and mission of the military institution.



On the other hand, Qahwaji met with MP Qassem Hashem with talks touching on the current general situation.



He also met with Head of the Independence Movement, Michel Mouawad, who expressed support for the army as it constitutes "a guarantee to preserve the state, institutions, and civil peace, in the face of any weapon that threatens security and stability in the region."
