NNA - Russian Ambassador to Lebanon, Alexander Zasypkin, reiterated Russia's unyielding position towards Syria, saying Russia shall not accept any duality in international standards regarding political solution in Syria.



Ambassador Zasypkin's words came during his meeting with a delegation of Lebanese national dignitaries, forces and parties, who paid him a visit at his Embassy office on Monday.



"Foreign sides should halt supporting and financing armed groups that are sabotaging Syria, as a prelude to the start of the internal political process," Zasypkin said.



Zasypkin considered that a political solution, through internal dialogue among all segments of the Syrian people, constitutes a proper gateway to restore security and stability in Syria, and meets at the same time the aspirations of the Syrian people for prosperity and progress away from the language of violence.
