NNA - Head of the Lebanese Forces (LF) Samir Geagea sent Saturday a telegram to John Kerry felicitating him on his newly appointed post as US Foreign Secretary of State and asserting commitment for holding optimal relations with the American government.


Kerry replaced Hillary Clinton earlier this month due to health complications.


"In light of changes overtaking the Middle East, we express our confidence in your commitment to a sovereign democratic Lebanon...which embodies goal of LF and achieves interests of the United States," read the telegram.


"The LF, a main component in alliances of March 14 Camp, confirms its constant dedication for a Lebanon...free of any foreign forces or armed groups on its territories. And reconfirms its commitment to weaving best relations with you and the USA with whom we share many common values."
