SSNP delegation visits Bogdanov

NNA - Head of the Syrian Social Nationalist Party, MP Assaad Hardan, on Friday met with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Mikhail Bogdanov, in presence of lawmaker Marwan Fares, and Russian Ambassador to Lebanon, Alexander Zasypkin.

The 90-minute meeting featured high on the current affairs in the region.

The Russian official tackled the efforts exerted by Russia in order to reach the sought solutions to the crises sweeping the region, confirming that the priorities of the Russian initiative in that respect rely on Russia's unswerving position according to which the solution in Syria must be political.

"Facing terrorism and extremism must constitute common ground for all the parties. Terrorist danger threatens the entire world," he indicated.

Turning to Lebanon, he highlighted the necessity of internal dialogue and of reaching agreement that would lead to the election of a new president of the republic who would be open to all sides.

For his part, Hardan highly esteemed the position of Russia supporting the Palestinian Cause and siding by Syria, Iraq and Lebanon in the face of terrorism and extremism.

"Facing terrorism is a top priority," he maintained.

"SSNP supports internal dialogue in Lebanon," he added.
