NNA - A delegation representing the Future parliamentary bloc visited on Tuesday Kataeb Party leader, Amine Gemayel, for talks over the simmering electoral law in the countdown for June's legislative elections.
The "Future" bloc delegation briefed Gemayel and Kataeb MPs on the Movement's electoral plan and other initiatives aiming to wind down political tension at the internal scene.
"We briefed [Kataeb] on Prime Minister Saad Hariri's proposals --electoral plan and constitutional amendments -- which we believe provide guarantees to all the Lebanese sides, especially Christians," Future MP, Ahmad Fatfat, said on emerging.
Fatfat said that similar meetings would be held by "Future" Movement with all political parties. He also relayed Kataeb's positive interaction with his party's initiative.
Responding to Hezbollah's refusal of all proportionality or majority-based electoral formulas, the Future MP accused Hezbollah of solely focusing on means to fully dominate the House of Parliament.
