NNA - Member of Parliament Elie Marouni said that former President Amin Gemayel and former Prime Minister Saad Hariri discussed in Paris preparations to mark February 14 memorial.
Speaking to "Al Sharq" radio, Marouni stressed that this meeting has asserted the continued alliance within March 14 forces.
"This alliance is built on principles and the Kataeb was and still is part of March 14."
The MP also assured that his party is keen to preserve coexistence between Christians and Muslims, adding that the alliance with Future movement was clear in March 14, 2005.
Marouni added that the most important thing is to hold the elections according to the constitutional time.
The MP argued that those who possess the weapons can only block holding the parliamentary elections on time.
Marouni feared that the turmoil in Syria could also affect the course of elections in Lebanon.
He strongly denied that Kataeb's participation in the parliamentary joint committee is an attempt to break away from March 14 decisions to boycott the cabinet.
"We are determined to have the elections on time. We have said since the beginning that we will end the boycott of the government only if the agenda of parliamentary election was discussed in the general assembly."
