NNA - The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) released on Monday, its weekly report on Syrian refugees, whereby it assured that more than 223 thousand Syrian refugees receive the protection and assistance of the Lebanese government, UN and NGO partners.
Nearly 155 thousand refugees are registered before the UNHCR and over 67 thousand are awaiting the registration date. Most of them come from Homs, Idlib, Damascus and Aleppo.
UNHCR registered 1,500 refugees daily in 4 centers on the Lebanese territory, distributed as follows: 76,803 in North Lebanon; 59,411 in Bekaa; 19,176 in Beirut and South Lebanon, according to the UNHCR.
