NNA - Deputy Michel Aoun said the Bloc of Reform and Change would only voice support for an election law "that provides true parity between the Christians and Muslims in Lebanon."



Aoun's fresh stance came Tuesday in the context of the regular weekly meeting for the Bloc of Reform and Change at his residence in Rabieh.



Aoun explained that the Taef accord manipulated the parliamentary seats for Christians in a way that one third of the seats would be chosen by Muslims. In this concern, Aoun asked Deputy Boutros Harb, Pierre Daccache, and Edmund Rizk to confirm or deny such manipulation.


Aoun called upon the government to control security situation in Tripoli that is taking a turn for the worse, saying that the state must not disassociate itself from Tripoli.



The General also addressed the government to look into developmental projects that have been disregarded, like the issue pertaining to Jal el Dib Bridge that has for long been causing a traffic jam across the highway.
