NNA - National Education and Higher Learning Minister, Hassan Diab, met on Monday with a delegation of Lebanese University (LU) contractual instructors, who came to raise their demand of approving their "full-time employment dossier" by the Cabinet.



Speaking after the meeting, Minister Diab said that "full-time employment" dossier was referred to the Ministerial Council's Secretariat General, to be placed on Cabinet agenda.



Diab considered LU contractual instructors' demand as "righteous," hoping that the dossier will be approved as quickly as possible.



Diab also met with LU Full-time instructors League, chaired by Hamid Hakam, who raised with the Minister the issue of deans' appointment and the formation of University Council.



Diab said that the issue of the appointment of deans requires political consensus.
