Hamadeh: Both Iranian and Syrian apparatuses are active in Tripoli

NNA - Member of Parliament, Marwan Hamadeh, commented Saturday on Tripoli's incident considering that there shall be several attempts to portray March 8th leaders as being assassination targets by anonymous sides. However, the environment surrounding them is influenced by more than one intelligence scheme, he noted. "Both the Syrian and Iranian apparatuses are actively present in Tripoli and work effortlessly on heating-up the situation between alleys when needed, and probably between leaders as yesterday," Hamadeh added.

Hamadeh continued to indicate that on the verge of re-launching the International Tribunal, attempts to target and hinder the work of the Tribunal shall, once again, increase as witnessed in the years 2007 & 2008.

In response to Interior Minister Marwan Charbel's call for rendering Tripoli a "city void of arms," Hamadeh considered that this cannot be possible as long it is not applied in all other Lebanese regions.

Over the parliamentary elections, Hamadeh stated that efforts shall be exerted to ensure that said elections would take place at their scheduled date and time. He proposed herein a comprehensive political solution based on implementing parts of the Taef Accord that haven't been implemented, thus far, instead of applying the "Orthodox Project Law".

Hamadeh's words came in an interview accorded to "Radio of the Orient" on Saturday.
