NNA - A U.S. airliner landed today (Friday) in Algeria to evacuate Americans trapped in the hostages' crisis, Reuters said today.
The Agency also said that the plane landed in an airport in Aminas about 50 km away from the gaz complex where the Algerian army carried out yesterday (Thursday) a military operation in an attempt to release hostages.
Some of the hostages were still being held there this morning.
The U.S.A. said some Americans were amongst the 14 foreigners whom the kidnappers said they captured last Wednesday; however, they did not give any additional details.
