NNA - Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Mohammed Rachid Qabbani launched today (Thursday) during a press conference in Dar El-Fatwa, a campaign to help displaced Syrians to Lebanon.
Representatives of the International Islamic Charitable Organization in Kuwait, Sulaiman Shamseddine, the representative of the International Islamic Relief Organization in the Islamic World League in Saudi Arabia, Abd El Karim Mousa, religious figures and dignitaries attended the launch of the campaign.
The campaign was launched in harmony with the anniversary of the Prophet's birth.
Qabbani said that this campaign in support of the Syrian people came after a series of previous campaigns of the same objective to relief displaced Syrians to different regions in Lebanon.
The Mufti addressed the Syrian people by asking them to be patient because this suffering is deemed to end, saying that the Islamic religion and their faith in Allah taught them "Al-Jihad", how to face oppressors and claim our right.
Qabbani praised the Syrian people, saying that Allah will support them and they would witness the death of oppressors in Syria, the Syrian regime and its followers.
The Mufti thanked Saudi Arabia and Kuwait for all the help they provided to the Syrians displaced into different regions in various countries.
