NNA - March 14 forces' General Secretariat organized on Monday a "friendship meeting" at its headquarters in Ashrafieh, in presence of a panel of opposition figures and journalists.



The forces' General Coordinator, Fares Soueid, read out the meeting's closing statement, enumerating March 14 coalition's constants.



He indicated that the forces were still holding onto solidarity within their components, ahead of a phase of democratic and effective partnership.



He also upped calls to take advantage of the existing opportunity of making changes and anchoring peace among the Lebanese parties, through fully implementing Taif Accord and respecting international resolutions.



Soueid said Lebanon's role in the region should be determined, since the uprising was sparked in the Arab world from Beirut, on March 14, 2005.



"Therefore, March 14 forces must be open to all the Arab popular movements, calling for upholding the fundamental human rights," he concluded.
