NNA - Telecommunications Minister, Nicolas Sehnaoui, pursued on Monday his visit to Sweden. He arrived in Gothenburg where he participated in a public meeting. He then went to Stockholm, where a ceremony was held in his honor at the Syriac Orthodox Patriarchate of Saint Ephrem.
In his word, Sehnaoui emphasized the weight the Lebanese expatriates were giving to General Michel Aoun's policy and strategic approach of the cause of the Christians in the Levant.
During his meetings there, Sehnaoui emphasized the importance of the Christians' presence in the Levant, explaining in detail the strategy adopted by the "Free Patriotic Movement" (FPM), in light of the regional dramatic developments.
"The Change and Reform parliamentary bloc is trying to correct the political and electoral imbalance which is affecting the Syriac community and minorities. This imbalance is due to the absence of a main Christian component at the Parliament," he said.
Concerning the development of the telecommunications sector during the last 12 months, he said that efforts were being concentrated on allowing Lebanon to enjoy the world of the digital economy.
