NNA - MP Nadim Gemayel urged Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, and Interior and Municipalities Minister, Marwan Charbel, to resign. He considered that the government has failed to meet its responsibilities with regards to victims of the explosion that led to the assassination of Brigadier General Wissam El-Hassan and the huge damages incurred as a result. He also criticized Tele-Communications Minister, Nicholas Sehnaoui, in this issue, stating that Sehnaoui ought to have urged the government to rise up to its responsibilities towards victims of the Ashrafieh explosion, being a cabinet member.
Gemayel went on to implore Hizbollah Party to give up weapons, so as to allow room for mutual dialogue and understanding.
Gemayel also voiced rejection to the meeting between a group of March 14th Forces with House Speaker, Nabih Berry, on grounds that such encounters are a mere "waste of time" and lead to no fruitful, clear-cut outcome!
Gemayel's words came in an interview to "MTV" Channel in Sunday.
