Moussawi's words came following a meeting with the EU Ambassador to Lebanon, Angelina Eichhorst, whereby the pair dwelt on the EU's fresh stance adding Hezbollah's military wing to the terror list.
"This decision is an insult to all the Lebanese and Arabs as it tells them that the resistance that librated their lands is a terrorist organization," said Moussawi.
He confirmed having conveyed his party's utter rejection of said decision to the EU diplomat, and lashed out at the way by which the EU has succumbed to Israeli and US dictates by issuing this decision.
"This pronouncement has done harm to the Lebanese-European relations," he said, noting that it is of no benefit to the EU.
He also urged the EU diplomat to reconsider this decision, and confirmed that Hezbollah bore no intention to change its political stances.
Moreover, the Hezbollah official warned that the decision to blacklist his party would have negative repercussions on relations with the EU.
"No one can condemn us with one hand and then extend the other to shake hands," Moussawi argued, asserting, however, that the EU was keen on preserving relations and cooperation with Hezbollah.
As for the EU's distinction between Hezbollah's political and military wings, he said that it was a mere fallacy by the EU which aims to serve its calculations.
"Everyone is aware of the fact that Hezbollah is one body and one entity. Its military and political wings are unified," he said.
