NNA - MP Ibrahim Kanaan said the Bloc of Reform and Change was trying as much as possible to gain back the Christian presence in authority. And such could only be through a new electoral law ensuring a true half-by-half authority share, not through boycotting parliamentary sessions or dialogue, according to the Deputy.



Kanaan's words came Thursday in the context of a gathering held by the Free Patriotic Movement, at the hall of Ascension Church in Dbayeh.



"There is no place for approving on a new electoral law except in the House of Parliament, as the Constitution and law require that," said Kanaan, who attacked the Future Movement as refusing an election law restoring to Christians their appropriate volume in authority.



Kanaan reminded of the Orthodox Gathering law and the proportionality law which is based on Lebanon as 15 electoral districts, as the best laws over which Christians have consented.
