NNA - Speaker of the parliament Nabih Berri met today (Saturday) afternoon with Beirut Maronite Bishop Boulos Mattar representing Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Rai. Discussions reportedly featured high on current issues.
Berri phoned Rai and extended his condolences over the death of the latter's brother.
Separately, Berri had previously met today noon with the Brazilian Representative for Middle East Affairs, Cesario Melantonio Neto, in presence of media advisor, Ali Hamdan. Discussions tackled current developments in the region.
